Transformations for Grief is a group intended to hold space for people navigating grief around a loss. We are part of the outreach ministry of connect.faith, inc. Our primary goal is to create a place of comfort and healing through music and creative exploration.

By participating in Transformations for Grief, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this liability statement and agree to the terms outlined. Your participation implies consent to these conditions and understanding of the nature of the support provided.

1. Not a Substitute for Professional Help

The support provided by this group is not a substitute for professional mental health services. While we aim to offer emotional support and understanding, we cannot offer medical, psychological, or psychiatric treatment or advice. Participants seeking professional guidance or treatment should consult with a licensed mental health professional or healthcare provider. You can call SAMHA’s National Helpline for free referral and information services 24/7 at 1-800-662-HELP (4357) or online at https://www.samhsa.gov/find-help/national-helpline.

2. Confidentiality

We strive to maintain a confidential environment to the best of our ability. However, please be aware that confidentiality cannot be guaranteed, and participants are encouraged to exercise discretion in sharing sensitive information. If we learn that you are at risk to yourself or someone else, we will take the necessary steps to provide for your safety.

3. Personal Responsibility

Each participant is responsible for their own well-being and decisions. The facilitators and members of this group are not liable for any personal or emotional outcomes that may arise from participation in the group.

4. Group Dynamics

The nature of this group may involve sharing personal experiences and feelings. Participants should be respectful of one another and recognize that differing perspectives and experiences may be shared. The group will not tolerate harassment, discrimination, or any form of abusive behavior.

5. Emergency Situations

In the event of an immediate crisis or mental health emergency, participants are encouraged to immediately call 911 or call 988 to connect with the Suidide and Crisis Lifeline. The group facilitators do not assume responsibility for such instances.
